Christina Arnestam was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden.

Married to Ola, (whom she met while walking her dog!) they have two adopted children, Krishna from Nepal and Maria from Columbia. Christina has two grandchildren, Adrian (8) and Victor (6) and is about to be a granny again as Krishna and his wife are expecting a baby in the near future!

Christina studied History, Art History and International Economics at University and despite dreams of becoming a dentist or a teacher, took a Summer job in local Government in Stockholm and never left! Her work in several different departments meant that she studied taxation, VAT and some auditing through both internal training and external courses at university.

Ola’s job with Scania took them to Liberia in 1980-81 and to Bulgaria from 2004 – 07 when then they moved to Namibia.Christina loves meeting people, socializing, traveling, writing letters, reading and genealogy. She completed an impressive book of Ola’s family tree for his birthday last year which took years of research and lots of e-mails! She also likes nothing better than taking long motorbike rides with Ola on their BMW with the wind in her hair….

Christina found IWAN through the wife of one of Ola’s colleagues at Scania and despite being initially hesitant, she now enjoys the coffee mornings, charity drives and social events that IWAN provides.

You’re a very valued member of IWAN Christina and we very much value your support, friendship and fabulous sense of humour!
