The International Women’s Association Namibia (IWAN) is a sisterhood of women of all nationalities and ethnicities based in Windhoek, Namibia. IWAN is a non-profit association which aims to support and welcome new arrivals (expats) to Namibia.
Women of all nationalities are welcome to join IWAN including of course women from our host country, Namibia! IWAN members currently hail from over 25 different countries and speak a variety of languages. IWAN members meet weekly to socialise usually at the home of one of the members or at an interesting venue around Windhoek. IWAN members don't only meet for weekly tea, many of the members are actively involved in various charity projects which help to improve the lives of many Namibians.
We also host evening events where we invite our spouses to join us, and in this way our partners are able to enjoy our community. With this powerful group of multi-talented and multi-skilled ladies we are able to raise money and offer our skills on a voluntary and supportive basis to various organisations that require help and expertise.
